Enrichment: Lois B. Cohan Museums to Go
Museums to Go provides up to $600 in funding for early learning programs to access experiences from local museums and institutions, either in the classroom or via field trips.
Overview
Founded by Bob Cohan and the Cohan Family to honor the memory of Lois B. Cohan, Museums-to-Go is deeply committed to provided enriching and educational experiences for young children. Participating programs receive a curated list of community-based partners and vendors to choose from. Educators can then connect directly with a vendor, schedule their experience, and submit the invoice to First Up for payment—keeping the process simple, accessible, and stress-free.
How it works
- Participating programs receive a Vendor Participation List, which outlines offerings from more than two dozen vendors.
- Participating programs receive a $600 grant toward classroom experiences or field trips. Programs call vendors directly to schedule, and when they receive the invoice, they send the invoice to First Up, which processes payment and sends a confirmation email.
- In the case of field trips, bus transportation is covered over and above the $600. We maintain a list of approved transportation vendors.
- Programs can book more than one experience to fully utilize the $600 grant. If the invoices exceed this amount, the participating program is responsible for paying the remainder.
