In Honor of National Book Month, preschoolers at Chinatown Learning Center Engage in Creative Dramatics during the First Up Celebrity Reading Featuring Halloween Stories and the popular “Caps for Sale” With CBS News Philadelphia Anchor Jim Donovan and The Champion of Early Childhood, First Up’s, Tyrone Scott

Where: Chinatown Learning Center, 1001 Vine Street, 3rd floor, Philadelphia, PA
(Instructions — Go into Crane lobby on Vine Street. If doors locked, don’t use buzzer but call 215-922-4227. Parking lot next to the Crane Community Center – entrance on 11th St. Possible $10 discount, if tell them you’re going to Chinatown Learning Center.)
What: It’s never too early for Halloween and for a young child’s favorite storybook!
The First Up Celebrity Reading will bring books to life for preschoolers at Chinatown Learning Center when CBS News Philadelphia Anchor Jim Donovan and Tyrone Scott, Director of Government and External Affairs of First Up, the Champion of Early Childhood, join forces and read to children.
Donovan will get kids in the Halloween spirit by reading “Sixteen Runaway Pumpkins”. Tyrone Scott will read “Happy Halloween, Biscuit.”
Donovan will also read “Caps for Sale” as Tyrone Scott engages the students in creative dramatics and they wear caps, too.
